INTRODUCTION

The Manila Central University Medical Alumni Foundation Inc ( MCUMAF Inc) was founded in 1984 by two ladies: Mrs Luningning Tanchoco Estanislao (the current Chairman of the Board Emeritus of MCU and daughter of the Founders of MCU the late Dr & Mrs Filemon Tanchoco Sr) and Dr Lutgarda Celestino Quito (Former Executive Vice President of MCU). It was incorporated in the State of New York Department of Corporations according to the Internal Revenue Service Code – Section 501(C)3 with TAX ID 112743591 as a Non Profit Corporation on May 10, 1985.

MCUMAF Inc is the “sole owner “ of this tax ID and no other entity in the United States of America is allowed to use it, without the permission from MCUMAF Inc.

MISSION and PURPOSE

• To foster the improvement of medical care and education in the Philippines by programs to be carried out at or with the Manila Central University College of Medicine.
• To support the continuing education of the students in the medical school by direct grants for educational programs, the carrying of seminars and symposia and providing for the interchange of medical information.
• To stimulate and provide for the dispersion of medical information among the medical students of the Manila Central University Medical School, in order to improve their professional resources and the health care services they will provide to the communities they serve as they become licensed physicians.

LEGAL DOCUMENTS

MCUMAF Inc has Legal documents denoting as “ proof of evidence “ of it's legality, in compliance with the Federal Law of the United States and the State of New York Division of Corporations where this organization was incorporated. Every year, MCUMAF Inc has been filing annual tax returns to the United States Department of Treasury as well as annual filing to the Charities Bureau of New York State, since it was incorporated in 1985.
