To our esteemed alumni of the Manila Central University Medical Alumni Foundation,
It is my most humble honor to be able to impart my greetings and share my message to this noble organization, established by Mrs. Luninging Estanislao and Dr. Lutgarda Quito thirty-nine years ago. As an alumnus of MCU myself, I recognize the prominence of being a graduate of our beloved alma mater, and sharing a common forum with our medical alumni. That the MCUMAF stands strong, vibrant, and dynamic as ever is a testament to how the alumni have rendered invaluable service as needed by the times to their community, to the students of MCU, and to their fellow Filipinos at large.

The ideal of being able to be responsive to the times and to the needs of people is something ingrained in the formation of students in MCU until now, much as that ideal is ingrained in me from when I was a student in its hallowed halls, and as the grandson of Mrs. Estanislao. It is that ideal, coupled with the instilled value of humility at all times and in all things, that led me to my current office as Deputy Executive Secretary for Internal Audit in the Office of the President. Thusly, it is but proper to give MCU its laurels for continuing to produce graduates who always put service for their fellowmen as their first priority in all endeavors. The members of the MCUMAF are exemplars of this ideal, as evinced by the deserving students it has helped in continuing their education, and it is thus my fortune to be able to share this common ideal and experience from our dear alma mater with all of you.

Responsiveness to the times is also surely what motivated the launching of the MCUMAFINC Website, and knowing this, I congratulate the MCUMAF for another leap towards reaching to the future and to a wider network for fellow alumni and their immediate communities, to be of better service, and to solidify the undeniable community of camaraderie among the current members of the Foundation.

The MCUMAF exemplifies what it means for the Filipino to be truly world-class, and by that merit alone, it is but proper to submit this organization to the annals of history as an indelible mark that the formation, education, and ideals of the Manila Central University have made on people, wherever the graduates of the institution may be.

Again, I give my most emphatic congratulations to the MCUMAF and join you in celebrating this milestone in the history and mission of the Foundation.
